So much going on!!!

Well since I realize I've been quite a slacker this year I figured I'd do a random update about stuff that's on my mind....and some pictures a friend sent to me as well!

First off for everyone who is curious about our daylight length...we went through our first sun rise of the year on January 23rd. It's amazing when it finally happens! The first day we do sunrise and sunset in 42 minutes. From that point on we gain approximately 10 minutes a day (9 minutes 29 seconds actually). That means since January 23rd we have 10 hours and 41 minutes from sunrise to sunset. Prior to when we leave in May we'll be at 24 hour visible light. It's amazing. (Currently we have 12 hours and 51 minutes of visible light). So when it happens it happens quick and it's amazing and slightly difficult to get used to...

And of course at this time of year we begin to make summer plans...when you live in Alaska this is EXTREMELY difficult...as EVERYONE is going to be tons of places. Lots of people have homes in other states or are traveling and have decided what they're doing. At this point I'm lost for the summer...I'm looking at houses in Michigan and I'm looking into Masters programs around the country. There is a possibility of starting a program in Philly or at WMU. I'm open to ideas...it's a bit overwhelming at this point to take it all in!

So this is some of the craziness going on! We also have a hockey tournament coming up (April 23rd to April 26th) and the last quarter of the year...wish us luck!
